To our loyal patrons, Since being established in 1987 by our Chairman, Mr Roy Mustaca OAM, United Cinemas has had the utmost pleasure of entertaining Australians and showcasing many blockbuster motion pictures including Dances with Wolves, Last of the Mohicans, Mrs Doubtfire, Pulp Fiction, Titanic, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, to name only a few. As conveyed yesterday evening by our Prime Minister, The Honorable Scott Morrison MP, the Federal Government has mandated that all non essential services, including cinemas, must cease trading from 12.00pm on Monday 23 March 2020 and remain closed until further notice. Mr Morrison flagged that this forced closure could last as long as 6 months, and possibly longer. We are saddened by the impact of this development on the many vibrant, committed and customer focused staff that our company has been fortunate to employ over the many years in which United Cinemas has been operating. We thank all our loyal patrons for your ongoing support over the years and we ask that you and your families remain safe in the coming weeks and adhere to government guidelines in dealing with the COVID19 pandemic. On behalf of the United Cinemas family, we look forward to welcoming you back to Cinema at its Finest once we are all ready to do so.
